The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to make award to the University of Florida to update the DEEP program to better fit the needs of Federal and State geotechnical engineers and to develop a better and more user friendly program for their design and analysis of deep foundation system. Much of the technical information and copyrighted source codes possessed by the University of Florida are needed in the development and improvement of the above DEEP program. Therefore, the geotechnical team of the University of Florida is the only known source available to perform the work needed.
