The Flathead National Forest will be advertising a Request for Proposals for the Paint Emery Stewardship project on the Hungry Horse Ranger District, Flathead County, Montana. This is a negotiated procurement and Technical Proposals will be required. This project is being procured under the Pilot Authority of Section 349 of the FY 99 Omnibus Appropriations Act and will contain several separate projects under one award. The individual projects are: Road Reconstruction, Timber Removal/Stand Improvement, Road Maintenance, Dust Abatement, Weed Spraying, Watershed Inventory, Burning, Hand Tree Planting, and Road Decommissioning. There is the possibility of subcontracting opportunities. Estimated issue date, June 15, 2000.
