This is a notice of contract action 15 days before an issuance of a solicitation. Solicitation N00168-00-Q-XBA1 will be issued 31 May 2000 for the Environmental Programs, Facilities Management Department. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 8744. The small business size standard is $5.0 million. NNMC has a requirement for the inspection of all regulated underground storage tanks (USTs) and associated equipment as well as monitoring wells and observation wells. There are currently eighteen (18) active USTs and forty-six (46) monitoring or observation wells. Eact UST or group of USTs is connected to a VeederRoot System that will be included in the inspection. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base year period of one (1) year effective from date of award with two (2) year options. Each year shall include two (2) semi-annual inspections and various tests as listed in the statement of work. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes byadding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s).
