The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) of the US Department of Health and Human Services is soliciting proposals for a contract to provide services to AHRQ components in many areas including meeting management and support(including travel arrangements and reimbursement); the development and preparation of documentation such as writing, editing and reproduction of reports and proceedings; and technical and administrative services such as literature searches and identification and recruitment of specialized experts. Typical projects will include the preparation of bibliographies on various health services research and health policy topics and issues, synthesis of health services research and policy findings and information, and reports from meetings on a variety of health services research topics and activities; and the preparation for and conduct of meetings dealing with the development and dissemination of health services research findings and information and meetings for setting and developing research agendas and priorities; and preparation of reports related to the management and organization of the Agency and preparation for and conduct of meetings related to Agency management matters. Sources must have an understanding of, and preferably, experience in, health services research. Sources must also possess, or be able to obtain (in-house or through subcontracting arrangements), the staff and other resources necessary to expeditiously carry out the different types of activities listed above. It is anticipated that this will be a five-year, cost reimbursement contract. It is estimated that the solicitation will be issued by the end of May 2000 and proposals will be due approximately 30-45 days thereafter. It is anticipated that award will occur in early FY 2001 (October 2000) and therefore this project is being submitted subject to the availability of FY 2001 funds.
