This is NOT a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but is a Market Survey to identify sources that possess the expertise, capabilities and experience necessary to accomplish depot-level repair of C-5 structural components in the 1560 FSC. These items include doors, flaps, slats, spoilers, elevators, miscellaneous panels, fairings, and a few quick engine change kit items such as the inlet cowl, manifolds and fireshield. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. A Contractor Capability Survey, draft copies of the Minimum Essential Requirements, C-5 Structures Repair List, Appendix A, and Required Technical Orders are available on the web at http://www.robins.af.mil/smallbusiness/c5repair.htm. The extent of foreign participation or level of security clearance required to receive a solicitationhas not yet been determined. Therefore, participation in this survey may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous.
