The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a cost plus fixed fee modification with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, PO Box 516, St. Louis, MO 62166-0516, to provide the engineering and logistic support services necessary for the installation and flight test support of the Conformal Antenna System Source Error Correction on one F/A-18A/B/C/D aircraft. As the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft, McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the only known firm possessing adequate existing knowledge, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment required to provide the engineering and logistic support services on the F/A-18 aircraft in a timely manner.
