identifies the requirements for commercial, depot level overhaul of the
LM2500 single shank gas generator engines, NSN: 2S 2835-01-237-1153.
These overhauls will consist of a complete teardown, inspection and
repair of the gas generator engine and its accessories. All repairs,
upgrades and replacement parts used in the overhaul shall be in
accordance with US Navy requirements. Interested parties should have
experience in overhauling the LM2500 gas turbine engines, and have an
active overhaul line. The Navy expects to award a multi-year contract
on a "best value" basis for the complete overhaul of not less than
three (3) LM2500 single shank gas generators per year. The Navy plans
to hold an offerors' pre-proposal conference (on June 1, 2000 at the
Embassy Suites Hotel, 9000 Bartram Ave., Philadelphia, PA) to clarify
any specification requirements . Prospective offerors/coference
