The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington (FISCDETWASH) has a requirement from the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) to procure the follow-on contract to N00600-96-C-0624. The Office of Naval Intelligence requires a service provider to supply data on commercial cargo shipments for use by the Joint Maritime Information Element (JMIE) system. JMIE is managed and operated by the US Coast Guard (USCG) at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) Suitland, MD. The contractor shall provide cargo data for all commercial maritime import and export shipments from a list of countries in the statement of work. The contractor is also responsible for the cargo data by two different access methods: (a) formatted cargo data records for incorporation into the JMIE database, and (b) queries against cargo data hosted on a web site accessible by the Internet. The Standard Industrial Code for this procurement is 2741. This contract is anticipated to be awarded as Firm Fixed Price with a base period schedule to commence date of 01 October 2000 and end 30 September 2001.
