solicit a sole source Simplified Acquisition from Norris & Norris
Associates, Cambridge, MA, to provide water transportation planning
support for Boston, Fire Island and New York Harbor. The contractor
will be required to develop a water-based transportation master plan
that serves the needs of the four Boston-area National Park Service
(NPS) sites and enables a long-term plan to improve access to the
Boston Harbor Islands NRA and other NPS parks adjacent to Boston
Harbor: Boston NHP, Salem Maritime NHS, and Adams NHP, and the sites of
the Essex National Heritage Area. Small business firms classified under
SIC Code must respond no later than 15 days from the date of this
publication. Small business firms must demonstrate in writing that they
have expertise w orking in the following three areas: 1. Water
transportation planning in Boston Harbor, New York Harbor and Fire
Island; 2. National Park Service in water transportation planning; and
3. Past performance in waterfront urban design and architectural
design of pier and gateway facilities. Interested parties shall submit
a minimum of 2 pages but not more than 5 pages documentation stating
the experience and knowledge on the criteria listed above prior to
receiving a Request for Quote (RFQ). This proposed action is for
services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with
only one source under authority 6.302. This notice of intent is not a
request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not
to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this
notice received will normally be considered, solely for the purpose of
determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone
requests will not be accepted only written requests for this RFQ will
be accepted however, we will accept requests for this RFQ via
