The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD, has a requirement for services in support of Distributed Aperture Infrared System (DAIRS), Multifunction Distributed Aperture System (MIDAS), and Advance Tactical Forward Looking Infrared (ATFLIR), the Advanced Imaging Multi-Spectral Sensor (AIMS). The support will require execution of program requirements, recommending specific actions regarding program direction and risk, and cost analysis. Tasks include laboratory testing of sensor radiometry; sensor & laser resolution and stabilization, electromagnetic interference (EMI); and shock and vibration. This task will also include software development and the development of other data analysis tools, and modification of laboratory equipment to support the testing. Also, data archiving/reduction and analysis, and test planning and execution. Also, coordination of the fabrication of test equipment, equipment calibration, and opto-mechanical design support. Additional tasks are to provide support services for the signal processing needs of NAWCAD in regards to IRST, including the development of computer models of IR tracker, development of real time algoritms so that spatial-temporal processing of the data is translated into compact efficient code, provide mathematical models for tracking and distance estimation and measurement/evaluation of selected filters for convergence time. Also, assist in data reduction of flight and ground tests. Develop software to support flight data archiving/reduction and conduct post-flight analysis of system performance.
