The Internal Revenue Service anticipates awarding an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity multiple award contract for various types of meeting space. The procedures in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items will be utilized for this procurement. This is an unrestricted procurement and the Standard Industrial Classification Code is 8999. Multiple events will be individually scheduled at various times, potentially beginning June of 2000 through June 2003. Due to the potential number of events (estimated 10-12), multiple hotel properties are required to insure potential availability. Availability of private meeting space is required to accommodate 15-25 people, and separate breakout sessions to accommodate 10-15 people. Converted sleeping rooms or suites can be considered for breakout groups usually 15-or less. At discretion of the IRS this space may be combined with meeting support space. Meeting support space must have adequate lighting to simulate an office setting, dual phones, with two telephone lines, data ports and an analog FAX line (available or installed by the hotels at cost to IRS). There should be sufficient 15 amp circuits to operate up to six PC_s, two printers, a facsimile machine, and shredder; and a 110-115 volt, 20 amp plug circuit for a full-size copy machine. Each event can occur during approximately 7 weeks within a 4-month period. Events may overlap and require additional space and/or hotels. The contract will require the hotels to provide, on an as needed basis, the following: Meeting rooms, audio visual services; business center services; parking, and other related hotel services. The contract will provide for a performance period of up to three (3) years. The base year will run 12 months from date of issue and two option years, if exercised. Mandatory requirements: To be eligible for contract award, the hotels must meet the following mandatory requirements: (1) Hotels must be compliant with Hotel/Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et.seq. (Public Law 101-391) and must hold a FEMA Certification Number (See FEMA http//www.usfa.fema.gov/hotel/index/htm; (2) Hotels must be compliant with the Americans with Disability Act, 42 U.S.C Section 12101 et.
