Z -- M/R/A VAQ, BLDG 5103 SOL YTPM 98-0045 DUE 060200 POC Kimberly Spencer-Sutton, Contract Specialist or Michael I LaFortune, Contracting Officer at 413/557-2134 Project YTPM 98-0045 consists of complete interior renovations of the existing facility of Bldg. 5103 for the purpose of providing guestrooms for visiting airmen. This facility is approximately 40,500sf and three floors in height. Facility will be renovated to prvide approximately 81 guestrooms through the reconfiguration of the existing floor plans. Additional provisions will be provided for the installation of new enclosed egress stairs in lieu of the existing fire escapes along with a new three stop hydraulic elevator and a three story entrance vestibule, selective demolition of building components, abatement of hazardous materials including lead, asbestos and PCBs. Provision and installation of interior components including new drywall additions, finishes (Ceiling tile, Vinyl wall coverings, ceramic tile, carpet and paint), men's and women's toilet rooms, plumbing system, fire protection/suppression system, electrical system and demolition and disposal of existing ductwork and replace with a new HVAC system. Building will be constructed of concrete block with Exterior Insulation and Finish System applied. Interior of additions will be finished similar to above. Site work and landscaping adjacent to the building is included. NOTE: THE AWARD OF THIS CONTRACT WILL BE RESTRICTED TO REGION 1 SBA 8(a) CERTIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTORS.
