The estimated price range of the work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 copies of solicitation will be provided in CD-ROM format at no charge for the first copy and $15.00 each (nonrefundable) for each additional copy requested. This is a request for proposals and will be a negotiated contract. The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications involves the rehabilitation of three 64-foot by 14.5 foot drum gates at Black Canyon Diversion Dam which work includes: diversion and care of the stream; removal and disposal of existing seals and associated hardware; modification and preparation of the drum gates for installation of new seals; installation and modification of new seals and associated hardware; repairs to the body of the drum gates and to their associated equipment; painting exterior of drum gates and painting pier plates; paintingof carbon steel parts of seals and miscellaneous hardware; and handling and disposing of hazardous waste and paint containing heavy metals. It is anticipated that this will be a multi-year contract with segments of working time in the fall months.
