13 -- ARMOR TARGETS SOL W813LT-0122-7008 DUE 061400 POC Jean Craig, Contract Specialist, Phone 410-278-6517, Fax 410-278-6522 The US Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005, plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase of an estimated 19 each Proprietary Armor Targets for Threat Impact Testing. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). ARL intends to purchase these targets from United Defense, LP, Santa Clara, CA on a sole source basis. These targets are proprietary armor targets designed and built by United Defense, LP for the Crusader Program and will be tested under that program. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing via FAX to 410-278-6522, to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
