NAVICP-Mechanicsburg plans to establish a firm-fixed price (FFP) Contractor Logisitics Support (CLS) contract for total support and management services for equipment of the ships stores refrigeration plants installed on U.S. Navy DDG 51 Class Flight IIA Destroyers. The CLS will include the process where the contractor will provision, stock, repair, store and ship serviceable equipment directly to the user upon demand. The goal is to have 100% availability and reliability which will reduce the Government's inventory investment and also have the capability to provide an integrated product life cycle approach to lowering the cost of ownership over time.
