The Food and Drug Administration has a requirement for one (1) Carl Zeiss, Inc LMS 5 Pascal Motorized,computer controlled laser scanning upright microscope: All settings of the laser scan head can be reproduced with the "reused" feature in the software. The pinhole is also motorized and computer controlled. The system runs in Windows NT for stability and security. Image Size 2K X 2K with Image Depth of 12 bits and up to 2 flurorescent channels all softwaresupports analysis and display of these size images. Display of up to 8 channels sinultaneously, with multi tracking and ratioing. the system has Digital Scan Control and Multi-Tracking (patent pending) to eliminate cross talk between channels for dual labeled specimens . Field Size -- up to 18mm. Ability to rotate scan 360 degrees 1 degree increments. Software for 3D rotations, projections, stereo, depth coding, orthogonal sectioning, measurement integrated into system interface. Automatic calculation of optimal interval size for z sectioning.
