THE SERVICES AND SUPPORT ARE AS FOLLOWS: (1) 1 EACH WORLDTOOLKIT CADLOADER. INCLUDES IGES TRANSLATOR, P/N STR-CADLOADER; (2) 1 EACH, WORLDTOOLKIT/WORLDUP MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT RENEWAL ON ALL LICENSES (1 FLOATING SGI WTK, 3 NT WTK,D AND 1 NT WUP), P/N WTE-WUP-SPPT; (3) 1 EACH, WORLDTOOLKIT IMMERSIVE DISPLAY OPTION, P/N WTK-IDO; (4) 1 EACH, WORLDTOOLKIT FLOATING MULTI-PIPE MULTI-PROCESSOR FOR SGI, P/N WTK-SIG-C5. ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE IS AUGUST 1, 2000, THRU JULY 31, 2001. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from ENGINEERING ANIMATION, INC., 100 SHORELINE HIGHWAY, MILL VALLEY, CA 94941. ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE. THE SOFTWARE WAS DEVELOPED BY ENGINEERING AND CONTENTS ARE PROPRIETARY IN NATURE WITH SERVICE ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on MAY 31, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
