D -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE TO REPLACE DISA'S CONSOLIDATED MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (CMIS) DUE 061800 POC Deborah E. Arentsen, 618-229-9661, arentsed@scott.disa.mil THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This is a request for information (RFI) for COTS product(s)and is issued to request technical and marketing information on the availability of COTS product(s) to meet the following minimum capabilities. The COTS product(s) shall be able to track the status of already-developed Configuration Items (CIs)(software or documentation) and associated information through every point in the workflow process from registration for delivery through multiple iterations of testing to release. The COTS product(s) shall provide a management view that shows the relationship between interconnected applications and dependencies. The COTS product(s) shall track all exceptions to standard requirements for CIs. The COTS product(s) shall provide a secure capability to electronically submit and accept CIs for processing. The COTS product(s) shall provide the capability to create, update, and query a CI Delivery Schedule. The COTS product(s) shall provide a method of identifying individual configuration items earmarked for a specific release (Build List) and the testing and engineering status of each CI. The COTS product(s) shall provide the capability to create and maintain distribution lists per release. The COTS product(s) shall provide a capability for users to submit online requests for a release of configuration items. The COTS product(s) shall provide the capability to create, store, and modify software change requests and problem reports. The COTS product(s) shall provide access to users through web browser client software from an existing desktop workstation. The COTS product(s) shall provide the capability to audit logs of user activities and shall allow for an overlapping hierarchy of user permission sets with a range of access levels ranging from view-only of some data to complete access to all data. The COTS product(s) shall support the use of data extraction for standard and unique reporting requirements (Ad-hoc reports, forms, queries, etc.). The COTS product(s) shall provide metrics to analyze business decisions. The system shall provide online help files for users. Only firms that currently have COTS product(s) possessing a majority of the above capabilities are invited to respond. Responses should include: 10 copies of literature that addresses the above capabilities and any other important technical aspects of the software; Price information; and points of contact that are knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the software.
