Naval Air Systems Command is conducting full and open competition for
organizational through depot level maintenance and logistics support
for 314 T-34C and 55 T-44A aircraft. This is the announcement of formal
solicitation N00019-00-R-0179, which was released as a draft RFP in
December 1999. The scope of the work includes Aircraft Line Maintenance
and Launch and Recovery Services, Component Repair, Material
Management, Aircraft Condition Inspection, Conditional Maintenance,
Quality Assurance, Engineering Support Services, Engine Overhaul and
Repair, Landing Gear Overhaul, Propeller Overhaul, Detachment Support,
Support Equipment Maintenance, Aviation Life Support Systems
Maintenance, and Satellite Site Support. The solicitation will be for
a five-year (base year plus four options) contract beginning 01 October
2000. The resultant contract will be a Fixed Price Requirements
contract with Cost Reimbursable provisions (predominately material). On
or about 31 May 2000, the solicitation may be obtainedat the following

Proposals will be due 45 days after release of the solicitation.
