Operations Center's Division of Engineering has a requirement for
elevator maintenance. The Contractor shall provide all management,
supervision, labor, materials, supplies, repair parts, tools and
equipment and shall plan and coordinate the effective operation,
maintenance, inspection and repair of thirty-one (31) elevators
manufactured by U.S. Elevator, and one (1) conveyor system manufactured
by Acco-Olson in the U.S. Department of Labor, Frances Perkins
Building. The contractor shall have a minimum of two (2)on-site skilled
and competent journeyman elevator mechanics on duty dedicated to this
facility between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one (1)
journeyman mechanic from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and one (1) from 4:30 p.m.
to 5:30 p.m. each Government work day. The contractor shall provide
additional personnel as required by the work volume to accomplish all
maintenance, inspections, repairs and all other contract requirements.
The contractor must submit information showing that the company has
maintained for a minimum period of three (3) years, elevator
electro-mechanical controls, and solid state speed regulators and
controls. Contractor shall provide Emergency Callback Services after
normal contract work hours, contract personnel shall be on-site within
one (1) hour of receiving a request. Vendors interested in performing
this project must submit a Statement of Qualifications identifies: The
vendor's experience in the performance of elevator maintenance the same
and/or similar to the above listed criteria. Responses must cite the
number of this request (RFI T.N. 00-30), and must state whether the
respondent is a small or large business. Respondents who are small
businesses must also state whether they are a small disadvantaged
business and/or a woman-owned business. The closing date for receipt of
responses is fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this
notice in the Commerce Business Daily. Send your response (original and

NW, Washington, D.C. 20210. The Government reserves the right to
compete any acquisition resulting from this among large or small
businesses or to make the award to an 8(a) firm, based on the responses
