The Quality Engineering Directorate (QED) located at TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 has a requirement to obtain a Third Party Assessment and Quality System Certification for their Quality Evaluation and Experimentation Group (QE2). The Certification requested will be compliant with the requirements of ISO 9002, Quality Systems-Model for Quality Assurance in Production, Installation and Servicing dated 1994. The QE2 is a work group whose primary mission is to conduct tests and evaluations of energetic and non-energetic items developed by the Engineering Centers of TACOM-ARDEC,Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The QE2 consists of 26 employees and encompasses 10 buildings, all of which are located within easy walking distance of the Quality Engineering Directorate Headquarters Building. This effort will consist of the Application for ISO 9002 Certification; Document Review; Pre-assessment; Full Assessment; Certificate of Registration and Surveillance Audits as required. The Registrar shall operate a third party registration system that complies with the requirements of EN45012, General Criteria for Certification Bodies Operating Quality System Certification and at a minimum be accredited by ANSI-RAB (US), DAR (Germany), UKAS (United Kingdom) and/or RvA (Dutch) to certify companies in SIC Code 8734.
