Willins-Ybarra (816) 426-6823, x230 SUPPLIES SOURCES SOUGHT: The National Weather Service, NEXRAD Operational Support Facility has a requirement to procure a commercial off-the-shelf digital receiver RVP7 Auxiliary Processor Board, IRIS/Radar Software, IRIS/Analysis Software, IRIS/Polarization Software, and RVP7 Dual polarization software from Sigmet Radar Data Systems for proof of concept prototyping on the Weather Surveillance Radar -- 1088 Doppler (WSR-88D) Radar. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities to perform the Statement of Work. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to contract with Sigmet Radar Systems, Woodland Park, 2 Park Drive, Suite 1, Westford, MA 01886. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by submitting a required qualifications statement. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed product data concerning their capability to provide the supplies that will satisfy the Government's needs. All proposals received within forty-five (45) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
