The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for continuation of services currently being provided under contract N00167-96-D-0005. The general scope of work will include the conduct of stealth technology development,ship design application, and other analyses in support of the USS VIRGINIA (SSN774) and follow-on submarine programs, advanced signature reduction technoclogy development and related Navy programs. The principal focus will be on submarine acoustic stealth R&D support involving full consideration of the unique cost-reduction, special mission, design philosphy, and other major issues of submarine programs. 87,500 hours of labor are estimated to be required over a five year period (17,500 hr per yr) with a staffing of approximately 11 personnel per year. A Department of Defense security clearance to the DOD secret level will be required for the contrator's facilities and all personnel.
