This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; poroposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N62604-00-Q-3184 is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This acquisition is 100 % Set Aside for Small Business. The standard classification code is 2392, small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisitoin Circular 97-11 and Defense Acquisition Circular 98-08. The Naval Support Activity located at NSA Capodichino, Naples Italy has a requirement for Installation Services of various Furniture and Miscellaneous items. Services include offloading containers, inventory items contained therein, noting any shipping damage, staging items, unpacking, assembly as necessary, dispersing to room in accordance with layouts,and coordinated removal and disposal of all empty cartons, packaging and packing materials. Contractor to provide adequate supervision, labor, materials, tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform all services. Installtion to commence after containers arrive in Naples and ready to be moved to the facility. Completion of installtion services to take no more than three and one-half weeks. Furnishing are as follows: Artwork, Furniture, Lockers, Appliances, Shelving, Workstations, Safe, Office Machines, and Audio/Video Equipment. The following solicitation provisions are hereby incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. Far 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items: The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror conforming to the solicitation that will be the best value to the Government, considering factors will be technical capability of services to meet agency requirement, price, and past performance. The clause FAR 52.252-2 Contract Clauses, is hereby incorporated by reference. Additional clauses incorparted by reference are: FAR 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965 and FAR 52.222-42 Statemtnt of Equivalent Federal Wage Rates. The Government reserves the right to eliminate from further consideratoins those proposals which are considered non-responsive. The clause at 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside applies to this acquisition.
