The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. The FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies to this Acquisition. The FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, applies to this Acquisition. Offerors are hereby instructed to submit a completed copy of the provision with their quote. The FAR Provision 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition apply. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The associated standard industrial classification code is 3999. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Quotes must be received no later than June 6, 2000, before close of business. The National Park Service has a requirement for the following items: 1) Model GW20V, Presto Products Geoweb panels, Brand Name or Equal that meets the following salient characteristics: 40 cells per panel, length -- 26.7' x 9.2', quantity 205 panels; 2) Model 500-X, Presto Products Geotextile Mirafi, Brand Name or Equal that meets the following salient characteristics, length 432', quantity 14 rolls; 3) Staple gun to staple Geoweb panels, quantity 1 each; 4) Boxes of staples for staple gun, quantity 11 boxes. Unless clearly marked that the bidder is bidding on an "equal", the offered item shall be considered as the brand name product referenced in this announcement. If the bidder proposes to furnish an"equal" product, the brand name, if any, of the product to be furnished along with all supporting data shall be provided with the quote. The National Park Service is not responsible for locating or securing any information that is not identified in the quote and reasonable available to the National Park Service. To insure that sufficient information is available, the bidder must furnish as a part of the quote all descriptive material (such as cuts, illustrations, drawings, warranty information and other information) necessary for the National Park Service to determine whether the product meets the salient characteristics of the requirement. If the bidder proposes to modify this announcement, he/she shall include a clear description of such proposed modifications and clearly mark any descriptive material to show the proposed modifications.
