NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for one (1) each, Satellite tool kit V4.1 professional software model #STKPRO4; one (1) each STK Pro annual support and upgrades, model #STKPRO4-UGA; one (1) each Communications module #COM/A5; one (1) each, COM annual support and upgrades, #COM/A5-UGA; one (1) each Chains module, #CHN4; one (1) each, CHN Annual Support and Upgrades, #CHN4-UGA; one (1) each, 3D VISUALIZATION OPTION FOR STK, #VOB4; and, one (1) each, VO Annual support and upgrades #VOB4-UGA. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Analytical Graphics, Inc., 325 Technology Drive, Malvern, PA 19355 under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1)Only one responsible source andno other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In order to meet project work responsibilities, we are currently using the STK software owned by the AATT/ACTM project to build several models. This software is required to meet our workload and meet compatiblity issues with currently owned STK software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May 26, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
