nora.ball@langley.af.mil. HQ Air Combat Command is seeking sources for
site licensed software which implements the Air Force_s SAFE-RANGE
program IAW Air Force Instruction 13-212 Volume III, _Hazard
Methodology and Weapon Safety Footprints._ The SAFE-RANGE program will
ensure users of the program sustain safe operations at each the
Bombing and Gunnery (B&G) Ranges operated by the Air Combat Command,
the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, Pacific Air Forces,
United States Air Forces in Europe, the U.S. Navy, as well as the
nations of Australia and Germany. HQ ACC CONS/LGCT is hosting an
Industry Day for all prospective offerors in Hampton-Newport News, VA
area on June 6, 2000 starting at 0830. HQ ACC/XOR will provide an
overview briefing of the SAFE-RANGE program_s objectives and some
technical details for all participants. Following the general session,
the government will conduct one-on-one sessions with each prospective
offeror. During the one-on-one sessions, each offeror will be expected
to present in PowerPoint format, a 10-15 minute presentation describing
their company_s capabilities to meet the requirements of the draft
Performance Work Statement (PWS) posted with this Synopsis. Following
this presentation, each company will then provide a 10-15 minute
general strategy briefing on how they would employ these capabilities
to meet these PWS requirements. After the briefings, the government
will have 45 minutes of open time for questions and discussion with
each offeror. If a prospective offeror cannot participate in Industry
Day on the 6th, then the company can provide a company overview
presentation describing their capabilities and a 4-6 page paper
describing their general approach to meeting the posted PWS
