Questions submitted and answers provided are as follows: 1) Do you want the vendors to provide 3-ring notebooks? Although the vendors shall provide a notebook of some type, 3-ring notebooks are not specified. 2) Will Stephen Covey be providing some of this training? No, some of Stephen Covey_s materials should be covered with the Supervisors as part of the vendor training. 3) Not sure what you mean by additional handouts? BEP subject matter experts will provide additional handouts for the Supervisors; this is not the responsibility of the vendor. 4) Is the material to be presented by BEP subject matter experts to be included in the 10-day training course? Yes, see question 5. 5) How many hours will the contractor provide and how many hours will BEP provide? The contractor shall provide approximately 50 hours of training and BEP will provide approximately 20 hours of training, with 10 hours for lunch. 6) How many Supervisors will be attending the 10-day training? There will be approximately 20 _ 22 new Supervisors for the ten-day training. 7) What was the total amount of the award for fiscal year 99? The total amount of award was $14,520.00; no training has occurred since that time. 8) Will the closing date be extended? Yes, the closing date for receipt of quotes is hereby extended from May 26, 2000 to May 31, 2000. 9) Several questions involved how the BEP subject matter experts will be scheduled within the 10-day training course and who the coordinator for this effort will be? Once a vendor is selected, the coordinator will review the training syllabus to see where the BEP subject matter experts will best fit in with the materials to be presented. Between one and two hours per day must be allotted for subject matter expert presentations, with the exception of the third day which will be completed devoted to the Office of Safety for their presentation. 10) What is the leadership and management style that this course is to cover (i.e., empowerment, TQM, situational leadership, and participative management)? The vendor shall cover the subject matter contained in the SOW. 11) Does this contract have a renewal option? No, this order will cover only the training time provided. 12) Will the vendor be able to conduct a needs assessment in order to determine the subject matter which is needed? Yes, at the beginning of the course if the vendor so desires. 13) Where will the training be conducted? Xerox Document Training and Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia.
