Work consists of the excavation and placement of embankment required to remove an existing metal culvert and install a 10'2" wide by 2'8" rise, and 27' long, aluminum arch pipe with concrete footings, wing walls and headwalls in a wet drainage. Work shall also include dewatering, temporary erosion control,riprap placement and paving. The Forest Service will supply the metal arch pipe. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. Estimated start work date is July 17, 2000. Work site can be accessed from Truckee, California, by heading south towards Kings Beach, on State Route 267 to Forest Road 73, located on the right just after reaching the summit. Travel 2.7 miles to Forest Road 16N74. Turn left on 16N74 and travel 1.8 miles to creek crossing. From the Kings Beach side, Forest Road 73 is on the left just prior to reaching the summit. There will be a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting at the intersection of State Route 267 and Forest Road 73 at 12 noon on June 21,2000. Solicitation package will be ready approximately June 1, 2000.
