DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, has a competitive requirement for a contractor to remove, repair and re-install 19 floating mooring bitts, 8 each at the Ice Harbor Lock and Dam navigation lock and Lower Monumental Lock and Dam navigation lock, and 3 each at the Juvenile Fish Facility at Lower Monumental Lock and Dam. Handling and transportation of the floating mooring bitts to a shop facility will include the use of floating plant to remove and re-install the Juvenile Facility bitts. Repair work includes, but is not limited to: replacement and refurbishing of rollers and roller assemblies; abrasive blasting, metal work repair, painting, and cathodic protection. The work will be performed at the Ice Harbor Lock and Dam and Lower Monumental Lock and Dam located along the Snake River near the cities of Pasco and Kahlotus, Washington. ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION: This is not an invitation for bid, but a notice that a solicitation will be issued on a Firm Fixed-Price basis. Procurement is 100% set aside for small business.
