NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Systems Analysis and Mission Support(SAMS) services. The services shall be performed at NASA, Langley Research Center. Services will be required in the following general disciplines (experimental, analytical and computational): full-spectrum aerodynamics, gas dynamics, fluid dynamics, aero-thermodynamics, acoustics, and aeroacoustics, metallic and non-metallic structures and materials, space and airborne systems. A cost-plus-award fee indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity task order contract is contemplated, with a period of performance of sixty months. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2001. Work will be assigned via performance-based task orders. The procurement is a consolidation of two existing contracts, the Aerospace Research and Technology Support contract (NAS1-96014) with Lockheed and the Systems Analysis and Engineering Research Support contract(NAS1-96013) with FDC/NYMA. The anticipated release date of the RFP 1-132-RB.1002 is on or about May 25, 2000. An ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note "B".
