synopsis of the final RFP was posted on May 11, 2000 under solicitation
number 1-132-RB.0002 for Systems Analysis and Mission Support (SAMS).
Solicititation number 1-132-RB.0002 is incorrect. The correct
solicitation number is 1-132-RB.1002. The synopsis is hereby re-posted
under the correct number. NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for
Proposal (RFP) for Systems Analysis and Mission Support(SAMS) services.
The services shall be performed at NASA, Langley Research Center.
Services will be required in the following general disciplines
(experimental, analytical and computational): full-spectrum
aerodynamics, gas dynamics, fluid dynamics, aero-thermodynamics,
acoustics, and aeroacoustics, metallic and non-metallic structures and
materials, space and airborne systems. A cost-plus-award fee
indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity task order contract is
contemplated, with a period of performance of sixty months. The
anticipated start date is January 1, 2001. Work will be assigned via
performance-based task orders. The procurement is a consolidation of
two existing contracts, the Aerospace Research and Technology Support
contract (NAS1-96014) with Lockheed and the Systems Analysis and
Engineering Research Support contract(NAS1-96013) with FDC/NYMA. The
two contracts and associated task orders along with other information

does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See
Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note
1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 8731 and 1,500 employees,
respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The
anticipated release date of the RFP 1-132-RB.1002 is on or about May
25, 2000. An ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note "B". The
solicitation and anydocuments related to this procurement will be
available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft
Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and will
reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a
