THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS FOR THIS PROJECT. On or about 5/30/00, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of Carrier Annex at FARMINGTON MO 63640-9998. Proposals will be opened on 6/30/00 at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $1,826,830.00 and $2,021,172.00. Description of the work is : The project consists of construction of a new Postal Carrier Annex in the Farmington MO area. This will be a Guaranteed Fixed Maximum Price Contract. The United States Postal Service intends to construct a carrier annex in the Farmington MO vicinity. This building will be approximately 14,700 square feet in size, one story, block and steel construction, and will be built on a site of approximately 3.3 acres. Construction will include, but not be limited to, the following: sitework and paving, concrete, masonry, metal work, rough and finish carpentry, roofing, doors and windows, interior and exterior finishes and furnishings, equipment installation, a closed circuit camera system, plumbing and HVAC work, and electrical power and lighting. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 345 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
