Contractor to manufacture, inspect, test, package, and ship various
buoy parts. Parts shall be manufactured from various steel types,
aluminum, copper alloy, brass, and wrought iron, in accordance with
U.S. Coast Guard specifications and drawings. First Article Testing is
required on the majority of parts manufactured. Quality Control System
shall be in accordance with ANSI/ASQC Q9002-1994. Government furnished
patterns will be provided for several required parts. Parts shall be
delivered F.o.b. destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering
Logistics Center, Warehouse Annex, Columbia, MD within 120 calendar
days after receipt of a delivery order or after successful first
article testing and inspection. First Article testing, if required,
shall be completed within ninety (90) calendar days after receipt of a
delivery order. Note: U.S.C.G. Specification Number 360 for Buoy Bell
and Gong Tappers and Specification Number 362 for Buoy Bell and Gong
Stands, contain QPL-24647-2, Qualified Products List of Products
Qualified under Military Specification MIL-P-24647, Paint System,
Anticorrosive and Antifouling, Ship Hull. The activity responsible for
establishing this Qualified Products List is the Naval Sea Systems
Command, SEA 03Q, 2531 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Arlington, VA 22242-5160.
It is intended to award a firm-fixed price, requirements type contract
for a base year and four (4) option years. When calling to request a
solicitation package, be prepared to state name, address, and
solicitation number. All sources may submit an offer that will be
considered by the agency. The date and time for receipt of bids shall
be determined. See Numbered Notes 1 and 26. ATTENTION: Minority,
Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP)
offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to
finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
