The Defense Distribution Depot Hill (DDHU) located at the Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, Utah has a requirement for the procurement of a dimensioning and weighing system (DAWS). The DAWS shall include one (1) each omni-directional scanner, one (1) each in-motion scale, one (1) each dimensioning unit, one (1) each scanner/dimensioning mounting structure and associated components required to provide a complete and operational system. The Government shall be responsible for installing the DAWS equipment and modifying the existing conveyor system as required to interface the DAWS into the existing conveyor system. The Government will provide electrical power for the equipment. The Government will install, but not connect, all required electrical, control and communication cabling. The Government will provide and install the DIGI port concentrator. The Government will provide and install the RS232 communication wiring from the DAWS to the DIGI. The Contractor shall provide schematics and installation instructions/details to the Government to insure proper installation of the DAWS equipment. If requested by the Government, the Contractor shall provide on-site technical assistance to the Government as required to insure proper equipment installation. The Contractor shall make all electrical, control and communications connections to the equipment. The Contractor shall certify proper installation to validate warranty. The Government requires final acceptance of the complete system within 120 days following the date of contract award.
