816-426-7530 The U. S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to procure
for six (6) water quality instruments. Instruments will be deployed in
seawater on mounting hardware attached to the seafloor, in depths
ranging from 60 feet to 150 feet. The instruments must be robust,
self-contained and be easily protable. Instruments will remain in situ
for periods up to six months and must have the capabilty to log and
store hourly data on each parameter internally for this period. The
instruments will provide data for the following parameters:
temperature, conductivity/salinity, dept, pH, dissolved oxygen,
turbidity, and ambient light (Photosynthetically Active Radiation).
Instruments will provide data utilizing a RS232 interface. Any
connectors must have the capability to be deployed underwater. A
service agreement must be included for a period of up to 2 years, with
an option for extension. The monitoring instruments will be purchased
under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition
Procedures. A copy of the Request For Quotation (RFQ) will be available
