It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) of 3241, with a size standard of 750 employees. THIS SOLICITATION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Requirement is for 2,000 Gross Ton of Portland Cement, Bulk, Type 1, to be delivered over a 15 calendar day period. Delivery will be to Airstrips located at Fort Polk, Louisiana and Peason Ridge Artillery Range. Peason Ridge is located approximately 20 miles north of Fort Polk. Contractor will be given 24 hour advance notice on quantity and location (Fort Polk and/or Peason Ridge)of delivery. Cement to be used for soil stablization and must be delivered in tankers with spreading capabilities. Quote is to include FOB destination. Anticipated start date of first delivery is on or about 15 Jun 00.
