The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk (Detachment) Washington (FISC WASH) intends to enter into a sole-source purchase order with Marconi Applied Technologies Inc. (4 Westchester Plaza Elmsford NY)in support of the U.S. Naval Observatory (Flagstaff AZ station) to procure one CCD44-82 Back Illuminated Scientific CCD Sensor. Features should be 2048 x 4096 pixel image area, back illuminated format for high QE, 15 um square pixels, low noise,high responsivity output amplifiers, 100% active area, gated dump drain on output register & flatness better than 20 um peak to valley. Product is to be delivered to the US Naval Observatory, West Highway 66, Flagstaff, Arizona. A sole source justification and approval has been reviewed and approved by the Contracting Officer. This will be a fixed priced contract. Marconi Applied Technologies Inc. is the only known source possessing the unique supplies, knowledge, experience, and expertise, which can fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the Navy's requirement prior to 2:00 pm on 02 June 2000.
