The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate an order(s) with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main St., Stratford CT., 06497, to provide engineering and logistic support for the SH-60B, SH-60F, and HH-60HH airframes. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the designer, prime contractor, and sole manufacturer of the H-60 aircraft. Sikorsky will provide the following support for this effort: assist in investigating the cause of accidents, mishaps, and material failures; perform engineering investigations; provide design recommendations to correct safety defects or improve component / system reliability; assist in Bulletin preparation; provide source data to correct technical pubs; assist in resolving Fleet/ Depot reported problems; maintain current contractor defect database and provide corrective actions to reduce total cost of ownership or increase aircraft reliability; perform stress and fatigue analysis; perform Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) studies and update exisiting LSA; provide subcontractor liaison services; assist in the preparation of Rapid Action Minor Engineering Changes and Engineering Change Proposals; perform Level of Repair Analysis; update maintenance plans and engineering drawings; provide specialized personnel to participate in U.S. Navy technical meetings/management reviews; provide technical/logistic assist visits in support of fleet activities; provide configuration management impact assessments; provide Technical Publications Defficiency Report evaluations; prepare Design Change Notices and Support Equipment Requirements Data; and provide Tooling Information Management System support.
