combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format
according to Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals
are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued.
Solicitation number 9TER-CHM-0010 is being issued as a request for
quotation (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
(FAC) 97-17. The period of performance will be from June 10, 2000
through June 1, 2001. The objective of this task is to provide on-call
audio-visual multimedia presentation systems design, installation and
maintenance services at various U. S. government installations, on
as-needed basis. Typical multi-media equipment includes Electrohome
projection systems, Crestron multimedia control equipment, speakers,
audio amplifiers, powered projection screens, PC's, computer
peripherals, video cassette recorders, and lighting control
relays/dimmers. Services included will be functions such as: system
designs, installations, maintenance, removals, relocations and
re-installations; adding or deleting hardware components for custom
applications; generating/modifying system functional software; and
repair/replace defective parts. Personnel providing service shall be
Electrohome Factory trained personnel. The company shall have a
certified Crestron programmer on staff. The following factors shall be
used to evaluate offers: (1) Technical (a) technical capability of the
item offered to meet the requirements, (b) past performance and (c)
delivery terms-ability to meet required delivery schedule and (2)
Price. Evaluation of past performance shall be based on information
provided by the offeror and any other information from other sources.
Award will be made to the responsible offerors whose proposals,
conforming to the RFP, will be most advantageous to the Government
resulting in the Best Value, cost or price and ability to meet service
requirements. Type of Contract(s): An indefinite delivery indefinite
quantity contract shall be awarded. Your proposal shall cover the
period of performance from June 10, 2000 through June 1, 2001 inclusive
of other incidental costs associated with travel and other direct
costs. Travel will be in accordance with the federal government travel
regulations. On SEPARATE line items include two 1-year options and any
other incidental costs associated with travel and other direct costs.
The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to
this acquisition. The offorer shall include a completed copy of the
provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications
Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4 contract
terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. In
addition to the guidance contained in FAR 52-212-4, contractors shall
submit proof of delivery with their invoices. Proof of delivery may be
in the form of a bill of lading or other shipping document signed by
the receiving office. Invoices received without proof of delivery will
not be accepted. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive
Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Quotes shall be
e-mailed to the Contracting Officer Chris Matthews at
chris.matthews@gsa.gov on or before 12:00 p.m. PST June 5, 2000.
