Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for District of Columbia Department of Public Works Project DC STP-9999(981) in Washington, D.C. The project consists of roadway resurfacing; curb, gutter, and sidewalk reconstruction; utility and lighting reconstruction; and drainage work on the following D.C. streets: 20th Street, NW, from K Street to L Street; 13th Street, NW, from Pennsylvania Avenue to E Street; 9th Street from Constitution Avenue to G Street; and Massachusetts Avenue from 2nd Street, NW, to North Capitol Street. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Roadway Excavation: 3,900 cubic yards; Asphalt Pavement Milling: 39,700 square yards; Removal of PCC Pavement: 7,700 square yards; Aggregate base, grading C or D, 8 inch depth: 6,800 square yards; Superpave Asphalt Concrete Pavement, 1/2 inch Nominal Maximum Size Aggregate: 5,600 Tons; Reinforced PCC Pavement, 10 inch depth: 8,500 square yards; Stone Curb, Type 1, 12 inch depth: 6,820 linear feet; and Brick Gutter: 6,500 square yards. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Invitation for Bids No. DTFH71-00-B-00025 will be issued on or about June 12, 2000.
