43 -- BARGE MOUNTED PUMPING EQUIPMENT SOL DACW29-00-B-0118 DUE 070500 POC Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer, Winifred Dyer (504)862-1998 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District has a requirement for all materials, labor, tools, equipment, supplies and services required to supply and operate barge mounted pumping equipment for the purpose of supplying raw water to the Raw Water Intake Structures (RWIS) at the Department of Entergy's Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) site at Bryan Mound (BM) in Texas. Barge mounted pumping services entail utilizing a combination of diesel driven pumping units capable of providing a water flow rate of 39,000 gallons per minute (GPM) (148 cubic meters per minute) while maintaining a pressure, at connection, of at least 140 pounds per square inch (psi) (965 Kilopacsals (Kpa)). Connection is fitted with 30-inch (0.76m) diameter, 150-pound (667-Newton (N))flange with a blind plate flange. Site locations (3) in Texas and Louisiana along the GIWW. This work is scheduled for August 29, 2000. There will be a pre-bid conference on 06/15/00 at 1:00 pm local time. The address for this conference will be held in the main administrative conference room, Building 244. This requirement is being procured as a Firm Fixed Price, Commercial Item, IFB, in accordance with FAR PART 12 and FAR PART 14. This acquisition is being set aside 100% for small businesses. The Standard Industrial Code for this procurement is 8999 with annual receipts not exceeding $5M. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
