The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound is soliciting for Thermal Batteries for the MK 50 Torpedo, in accordance with Critical Item Product Specification WS 22007 D and its associated drawings. The solicitation will be for a base quantity with three option quantities. The base quantity will comprise of 112 each, production units and 18 each, periodic production samples. Fifteen first articles will also be required from unproven sources. A 100% option of the base quantity will be solicited, to be delivered after delivery of the base quantity, a second 100% option will be solicited for delivery after the first option quantity and a third 100% option will be solicited for delivery after the second option quantity. Delivery of the first articles is desired within 180 days after contract award with periodic/production lot deliveries to begin 60 days after first article approval. Each subsequent lot will be delivered 60 days after approval of the previous lot. The solicitation will be issued on orabout 09 June 2000 with a 30 day closing date. All responsible sources may submit an offer/bid which shall be considered by FISC Puget Sound. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted.
