A -- NONPERSONAL SERVICES TO PERFORM AND MEET THE JOINT INTEROPERABILITY TEST COMMAND SOL DABT63-00-R-1020 POC Kim Wentrcek, Contract Specialist, (520) 538-0418/N. Tinnell, Contracting Officer, (520) 538-0423 This synopsis is a follow-on to CBD Notice No. 244654, submitted September 1, 1998. The upcoming requirement (Solicitation DABT63-00-R-1020) is for non-personal services to perform and meet the Joint Interoperability Test Command's (JITC's) missions and functions at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This encompasses a wide range of scientific, engineering, logistic, administrative, acquisition, and housekeeping support. It includes, but is not limited to, all support aspects during test planning, test execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting for command, control, communication, computer and intelligence (C4I) and automated information systems (AIS): the design, development, engineering and acquisition of selected items of equipment and instrumentation; and the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the facilities at Fort Huachuca, Arizona with possible O&M at various world-wide locations, either on a temporary or permanent basis. Inherent in this performance is the requirement for familiarization and knowledge of the technical and operational characteristics of tactical and strategic C4I and AIS equipment and systems, and joint and combined architectures and standards. The scope of the requirement includes all preliminary work as well as testing and support for extensions into any C4I or AIS area. The requirement is currently under multiple award contracts with TRW, contract DABT63-96-C-0031; INTEROP Joint Venture, contract DABT63-96-C-0031, and Validity Corporation, contract DABT63-96-C0034, for which the performance period includes one base year and four option periods for a total of five years. It is anticipated that the new requirement will begin performance on or about March 1, 2002, with one base year and four option year periods. This notice is intended to alert the research and development community/industry of the upcoming solicitation. This is not a request for information nor is it a solicitation and no proposals should be submitted in response to this informational synopsis. The milestones that are provided will be a tentative schedule for informational purpose only.
