The Sierra Nevada Framework Project (SNFP) has a need acquire
professional services of a mathetician/ecologist to develop additional
models that assess options for monitoring species,habitats, and
vegetative conditions in order to more fully assess the array of
population and habitat monitoring options for species of greatest
concern in the Sierra Nevada. The work that is proposed to be performed
in 2 phases. The first phase is focused on addressing the most
immediate uncertainties regarding experimental and sampling design
approaches, and will be performed between Mid June and September 30.
The first phase is designed to correspond with the scheduled completion
of the final EIS of the SNFP. The second phase (which is an option
item) is focused on addressing less immediate uncertainties regarding
field sampling protocols, as well as any remaining priority
experimental and sampling design approaches, and if awarded will occur
between October 2000 and September 2001. The contract will be set up
as an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order contract,
under which task orders will be issued for specific work to be
performed. This solicitation will not be set aside for small business.
Solicitations will be available on June 12,2000. Quotes are due on
