The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Hamilton Sunstrand Division of United Technologies to provide CY 00 system integration support to the USN during the flight test phase of the NP2000 Integration Program. Hamilton Sunstrand is the designer, developer and manufacturer of the NP2000 C-2 propeller, the replacement to the current Hamilton Sunstrand 54460 propeller on the C-2 aircraft. Hamilton Sunstrand has four decades investment in the design, development, production and maintenance of the C-2 propellers. Hamilton Sunstrand is the only source capable of providing NP 2000 systems integration support based on technical knowledge and proprietary data relevant to the design and performance characteristics of the NP2000 propeller.
