The Modoc National Forest intends to acquire services for mechanical tree shearing, skidding, chipping and hauling to off forest sites, of precommercial ponderosa pine, white fir, cedar and juniper stands in the Badger Timber Sales, Blue Mountain and Deadhorse Flat Reservoir areas. Part of the pine stands will be contractor select and part will be pre-marked by the Forest Service. The juniper stands will be sheared and piled and left on site. Contract also contains a 2400-4, Timber Sale Contract for sale of tree volume of small conifers. Projects are located between 2.5 -- 24 miles northwest of Alturas, California, on Devil's Garden Ranger District. Desired start work date is September 1, 2000. Contract time is 160 calendar days.
