The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is requesting quotations from vendors for Item 001 (1 each) Horizontal Plate Whirler, Item 002 (1 each) Tiltable Vacuum Printing Frame, and Item 003 (1 each) Stereo microscope Zeiss Stemi 1000. The technical specifications are stated in the attached document. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; therefore, a written request for quotation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is 05-00-36. Delivery terms are F.O.B Destination to the BEP Loading Dock at _D_ Street, between 13th and 14th Sts., S.W. Washington, D.C. 20228. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be technical capability, past performance, and price. All interested businesses are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF 1449 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, and size status (i.e., large business, small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). All quotations must include product literature or other documentation that demonstrates that the proposed equipment is fully compliant with all of the requirements set forth herein, and at least 3 references of customers who have purchased this equipment over the past 2 years.
