Center (Aircraft Division) Patuxent River, MD, Code 4.6.1.2, is seeking
information from potential sources for a single survivor rescue basket
for use in the Navy H-60 aircraft. Current survivor rescue basket
design is too large for use and stowage onboard the H-60 aircraft. The
rescue basket will be used for unassisted recovery and shall be
lightweight, compact and safe for use by an inexperienced survivor. The
U.S. Navy wishes to acquire information on a rescue basket with the
following general specifications: (1) Cable assembly with hoist
attachment for lifting. (2) Self-righting floatation. (3) Collapsible
lightweight rigid frame. (4) Maximum capacity one person (adult). (5)
Maximum weight 35lbs. (6) Maximum open dimensions of H45" x W24" x
L40". (7) Maximum stored dimensions of H22.5" x W24" x L40". Companies
