The Ohio National Guard intends to award a contract to Argo Scientific Inc., to regenerate/refurbish 108 reverse osmosis water purification units (ROWPU)Filters. The ROWPU Filter membranes are to be visually inspected for damage for outer casing and exposed membrane surfaces. Each filter is individually tested to manufacturer's specifications to determine condition as received. Filter membranes are then cleaned and tested to determine effectiveness of regeneration process. Membrane is then preserved and placed in a heat sealed bag. Each membrane is placed in a heavy-duty cardboard box. All membranes will be sent with normalized pre and post data. The proposed contract action is for a service, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 7 days after publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone or facsimile proposals are not accepted.
