Wolfe, 304/285-5883 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), HELD, Agriculture and Immunotoxicology Group, in Morgantown, WV purchased a BD FACS Vantage under a Federal Supply Schedule in 1997 which is being utilized for cell sorting and cytometric analysis. This acquisition is to purchase an upgrade kit for the FACS Vantage Cell Sorter which includes the following additions, modifications and changes to the aforementioned unit: ADD all new high performance electronics. fluidics, software, optics and additional hardware. The only source known that can perform this work is the original equipment manufacturer, Becton Dickinson, San Jose, CA; however, if there are vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements (upgrades), they are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures and references to Brenda L.
